Intensive In-Home Services

 Get comprehensive and compassionate care in the comfort of your home. This program is for youth and young adults at-risk of out of home placement due to extreme behavior. We tailor interventions to your child's unique needs, and are available 24/7  in case of crisis.

INTENSIVE IN-HOME SERVICES

REQUIREMENTS

Medicaid Recipient
5 to 21 years old

Intensive In-Home clients must be an active Medicaid recipient that is 5 to 21 years old with any of the following insurance companies:

  • Sentara Health Plans (formerly known as Optima and Virginia Premier)

  • Anthem

  • Molina

  • Aetna Better Health

At risk for out-of-home placement or transitioning back into the home from out-of-home placement

This service is especially for young adults and youth who require assistance with developing coping skills and help with extreme behaviors at school, in the home, and in the community such as:

  • physical and verbal aggression

  • non-compliance

  • difficulty building and maintaining interpersonal relationships

  • poor social skills

  • poor problem solving skills

  • depressive behavior such as mood swings, outbursts, and isolation

  • suicidal statements or self-harm

What is out-of-home placement?

Those who qualify for IIH services likely exhibit extreme behaviors and are at risk of being removed from the home or are transitioning from being out of the home.

  • hospitalization

  • releasing custody

  • rehoming in the foster system

  • justice system
